Jade Ahn
Painter, Potter
From a young age, Jade Ahn was always enchanted by the beauty surrounding her, translating it into paintings and writings, many of which received awards and were published in compilation books. During college, she ventured into filmmaking and began her career as a graphic and industrial designer. Her true passion for fine arts, however, eventually led her to the United States, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art.
After graduation, Jade shifted her focus to her teaching career and pursued graduate degrees in math and public health. Yet, a serendipitous encounter with local artists reignited her creative spark. Since then, art has become a powerful means for her to rediscover a profound sense of joy, wonder, and introspection.
Deeply inspired by Modernist Marc Chagall and Post-Impressionist Vincent van Gogh, Jade is captivated by the interplay of light and color. Her fascination with this dynamic interplay transforms ordinary scenes into vibrant, emotive compositions, infusing her work and life with greater depth and meaning.
