Cara started her art career as a furniture artist. She began by painting and selling furniture with one or two colors of paint, and over time she began exploring and experimenting with art on furniture. Her bright, bold pieces with florals and abstract patterns were the beginning of her journey into the world of art. Being a self-taught artist, Cara is unaware that there are rules to follow. She navigates her way through art with emotion and inspiration, gathering inspiration from the colors and shapes that nature has to offer, and emotion from her decades of work with at risk children and women. She gravitates towards happy and bright colors, which lead to the greater meaning in her work. Cara resists the idea of a niche, allowing her to indulge her curiosity and explore all mediums. She leads an online group of aspiring artists, and she offers tutorials, art business guidance and mentoring.
